Running SpriteLamp Linux on Ubuntu 13.04

I recently downloaded a new product I backed on KickStarter, SpriteLamp.

Since I intend to us this tool during the Global Game Jam I should know how to use it to produce content, but when I tried to run the application it didn’t work by default. The first problem was that I didn’t have Mono installed. Easily fixed:

sudo apt-get install mono-runtime

But this lead to an exception when launching:

Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException:
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Windows.Forms, Version=4.0.0.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies.

I was missing a library

sudo apt-get mono-winforms*

That fixed the problem, so the short cut is

sudo apt-get mono-runtime mono-winforms*
cd SpriteLampPro0-3/Linux
mono SpriteLamp.exe

SpriteLamp running

Now my only problem is that my laptop doesn’t support GLSL 1.30 under Linux.
